Tecno has officially introduced the Pop 9, an affordable LTE-only smartphone, to the Indian market. Initially launched in August and later rebranded as the Spark Go 1 in select regions, the device comes with upgraded specifications for its Indian release, including the powerful Helio G50 SoC by MediaTek. Priced at just INR 6,699 (around $80), the Tecno Pop 9 promises value-packed features for entry-level users.
Design and Display
The Tecno Pop 9 retains the sleek design of its African counterpart, featuring a 6.67” LCD display with HD+ resolution. The “dynamic” punch-hole camera is a standout feature, inspired by Apple’s Dynamic Island, integrating animations and notifications around the 8 MP front shooter for a modern, interactive experience.
On the back, the camera island also draws design inspiration from the iPhone 15, housing a 13 MP primary sensor with PDAF for improved photography.
