Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of its highly anticipated Xiaomi 15s Pro smartphone on May 22, alongside the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra tablet and Xiaomi YU7 SUV. The company’s President and Group Partner, Lu Weibing, has recently shared exciting teasers revealing the phone’s design and key camera specifications.
The Xiaomi 15s Pro will feature a sleek black color variant with a square-shaped camera module that proudly carries the Leica branding. This model is confirmed to house a triple rear camera setup, including a much-awaited periscope telephoto camera. The periscope lens offers a focal length of 120mm, matching the telephoto specifications of the Xiaomi 15 Pro. Additionally, the smartphone is expected to sport a 14mm ultra-wide-angle lens, delivering versatile photography options for users.

Camera hardware specs reveal the primary camera will have a wide f/1.44 aperture, while the telephoto lens will feature an f/2.5 aperture, suggesting minimal changes from the Xiaomi 15 Pro but retaining high-quality imaging performance. The LED flash is positioned outside the camera module, maintaining a clean design.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 15s Pro is powered by Xiaomi’s homegrown XRing O1 chipset, a cutting-edge 3nm chip with an advanced CPU architecture of 2+4+2+2 cores. The chipset boasts two prime cores clocked at 3.90GHz, complemented by other cores at various speeds, delivering performance close to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite. The phone is confirmed to run on Android 15 and will come equipped with up to 16GB RAM for smooth multitasking and gaming experiences.
