Samsung Rolls Out One UI 7 Update: LOG Video Recording, AI Filters, and More for Older Galaxy Smartphones

Samsung has officially rolled out the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 series and other older Galaxy smartphones in South Korea. The update brings several exciting camera features, including LOG video recording, AI-powered custom filters, and 10-bit HDR video support.

The LOG video recording feature, typically used in professional video production, enables users to capture videos in a logarithmic colour profile, offering a high dynamic range and preserving more details in highlights and shadows.

The new One UI 7 update also introduces Motion Photos, similar to Apple’s Live Photos, allowing users to capture 1.5-second snippets of moments before and after the shutter is pressed. Samsung’s AI enhancements include Audio Eraser, which removes unwanted background noise from videos, as well as Portrait Studio, multi-mask, and Auto Trim features.

Additionally, Overlay translations leverage Galaxy AI to translate text in images while maintaining original text colour and background.

These updates significantly improve the camera app experience, adding new settings like exposure value adjustments and grid lines in the updated bottom panel. As part of the update, users will also find the shoot assist function that displays an exposure monitor to ensure optimal video settings in pro video mode.

Samsung continues to enhance its One UI platform with advanced AI features and camera capabilities, making it a great option for both casual and professional content creators.
